Moose Juice: Candy Soda
July 2nd, 2022When I saw “Candy Soda” flavour I was very intrigued. I thought it might be a bit like bubblegum or dolly mixtures or something, but I was sadly a bit disappointed. The taste was like fake mixed fruit and was quite sickly to drink.
Relentless Zero Sugar Peach
May 28th, 2022I never really look forward to trying peach flavoured drinks, I find them to be bitter and not that nice. But, this Relentless one wasn’t quite as bad as I was expecting. Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather not have a peach flavoured drink, but this one was tolerable. Quite sweet, a bit tropical, sickly aftertaste, but tolerable!

Monster Juiced Khaotic
May 21st, 2022The can blurb proclaims that the original Monster with juice was released in 2005. Now I don’t recall that product around that time, and I certainly haven’t ever reviewed it on this site, so unfortunately I have no baseline to compare this new “lightened up flavour” rebooted version against. What I will say is that it’s overwhelmingly orange and zesty. It definitely tastes like a Monster drink, and the ingredients include apple, orange, peach, tangerine, grape and pineapple juice, but to me the flavour is orange. It’s a really nice orange drink too so if this is a lighter version of the original then that was probably a decent drink too!

Monster Ultra Watermelon
April 30th, 2022Not my favourite Monster Ultra flavour, but it’s smooth as always in-line with the Monster brand. The watermelon flavour is not too strong, quite sweet, and really needs to be drunk straight from the freezer. If you let it warm up, it’s really not as enjoyable. I could only find this drink in a multipack of 4 at Tesco, which was quite a lot to get through.

Warrior – Berry Burst
April 23rd, 2022Sadly this is just a bog-standard cheap tasting berry drink much like a lot of the supermarket own-brand ones. If you’re going to go with Warrior, choose the Original or Citrus flavours, those are by far the most original and tasty variants.

Furocity Tyson Fury Black & Blue Raspberry
April 16th, 2022This was my favourite of the four Furocity flavours. If the weather had been warmer, I’d have enjoyed it even more – it’s blue raspberry freeze-pops in a can đŸ™‚ Very sweet and full of nostalgia, but not too sickly meaning you can easily drink a large can far too quickly.
Furocity Tyson Fury Sour Cherry Knockout
April 2nd, 2022Yup, it’s cherry, but it’s not very sour. I think that because of that, it’s reasonably refreshing to drink. Not too sickly, not too sweet, but an okay artificial cherry flavouring.
Furocity Tyson Fury Original
March 19th, 2022I’d better tread carefully reviewing this one. Manufactured by what appears to be a UK ltd company set up specifically to market Tyson Fury’s own brand of energy drink (Furocity Ltd), each can features a nice quote from the man himself “… it’s a feeling you can’t bottle. So I put it in a can.”. Yeah, I’m not arguing here. The drink itself in the original flavour is not very original though. It’s a typical clone and not expensive tasting at all. It’s lower in calories than normal full-fat energy drinks, but I guess that’s the new normal and I’d probably see that if I went back and re-reviewed drinks from years ago that are still on sale. Still, there are three other interesting flavours in this new range to try and they promise to be a bit more exciting.

Lucozade Alert Original
March 12th, 2022Full marks for original, because like its name says it really is original for an energy drink of this type. There is a glucosey sort of taste to it much like normal Lucozade Original, only instead of the sharp watered down flavour of that drink, what you get is a much more concentrated flavour. It’s very sweet, but contains sweeteners to reduce the total sugar content, and the smell is definitely  reminiscent of Lucozade Original. All in, a nice energy drink, but could have done with being half the portion size because 500ml is very sickly to get through!
