AriZona RX Energy Watermelon
August 22nd, 2026650ml can!?!? That’s huuuuuge! I’ve never seen anything like this size for an energy drink. Luckily, despite its size it is reasonably low in caffeine which brings its caffeine content down to similar levels as a whole 500ml can of Monster. It’s also not carbonated! Mostly this tastes like a fruity tea drink and that’s not my cup of tea… the warning on the can saying “This product is a food, not a drug” is an interesting touch too. It’s billed as a herbal tonic, mostly watermelon in flavour and you can taste the watermelon but it’s soured a bit by the tea.

Perfect Ted Energy Apple Raspberry
October 18th, 2025The blurb on the can has a nice little story: “Hey, I’m Marisa! I have ADHD and anxiety. I wanted to feel energised without the jitters or crashes, so I created a brain-boosting energy drink…” and so it continues. I am by no means an expert in ADHD or anxiety but a little bit of reading suggests that caffeine and other stimulants can help with ADHD symptoms. Every day is a school day it turns out! This drink it a tea-based drink, and I’m not a fan of tea at all – I find it too bitter, but as it’s one of the most popular drinks worldwide I am clearly in the minority. This drink as I say is mostly tea-flavoured, it’s very lightly carbonated, and has a fruity apple/raspberry flavour. Mostly it tastes of tea to me though and I’m sorry, Marisa, I couldn’t finish it because of that 🙁
NOCCO Focus Ramonade
April 13th, 2024I had to look up what Ramonade might be. Turns out the Ram part is rambutan which is a type of tropical fruit, but the main flavour I could taste was apple. It’s basically an extremely caffeine-potent apple flavoured energy drink. I’m always nervous about trying a can of Nocco because I know I’m not going to sleep well that night! But, if you need an extremely strong pick-up then this’ll do the trick.

Aspire Mango Lemonade
December 16th, 2017I drank this one with memories of the other Aspire drinks close to hand… and as I suspected I didn’t enjoy it. It’s really bitter and watery, with no real fruity flavouring or sweetness to it at all. It tastes how you’d expect something really healthy to taste! There’s no tropical or lemon hints there at all, sorry…
