Red Bull Winter Edition (2024): Iced Vanilla Berry
November 30th, 2024Look, I know, it sounds horrible… vanilla and berries together in an energy drink like some sort of fizzy ice cream concoction, but hear me out on this. It turns out that this 2024 Winter edition of Red Bull is actually one of their best tasting drinks in a long time! It’s subtly flavoured, very sweet but not sharp or tart at all. The vanilla works really well to smooth out the gentle berry flavour. Whilst it isn’t particularly refreshing, it’s a nice smooth and fruity energy drink!
Tenzing Lime and Mint
November 23rd, 2024Someone out there must like the combination of lime and mint because a lot of drinks are coming out with this flavour. I think it’s supposed to be a bit like a mojito? I find the combination strange and sickly personally but other people have mentioned to me that’s it’s quite refreshing so I guess my opinion is not the popular one!
G Fuel Ice Shatter
November 9th, 2024It’s a bit like the white Monster but with a slight twist. Blueberry and lemon, so it’s a tangy version of a blueberry drink. Refreshing and very heavy on the caffeine.

Bob Ross Positive Prussian Blue Raspberry
November 2nd, 2024I think we can all agree that this is what Bob Ross would have wanted, his own range of energy drinks. This is a US import and the Americans know how to make an energy drink. Lots of high fructose corn syrup and the most artificial of flavourings and colours possible! Blue raspberry at its synthetic finest.

Reign Storm: Kiwi Blend
October 26th, 2024I don’t like apple, luckily the kiwi flavour has toned down the appleness and this is an ok drink for the summer. Fresh and fruity without being sickly.

Kong Strong Colossus: Orange, Passion Fruit, Guava
October 19th, 2024It’s a tropical energy drink. Badge it up however you like by listing the fruits used but at the end of the day it’s a huge (colossal?) can of tropical energy drink! Not bad, and from the budget supermarket Lidl so a decent price too.
Rockstar Zero Sugar Blueberry
October 12th, 2024Quite a light flavoured blueberry drink. It’s neither watery nor too strong, a good balance and zero calories too. Blueberry is a good flavour for energy drinks I think because it’s different enough from the regular mixed fruit flavours but doesn’t have the harshness of other berry flavoured drinks.

Reign Storm: Peach Nectarine
October 5th, 2024Another one of what I think is intended to be Reign’s healthier-looking drinks with pictures of real fruit on the front. I’m not a big fan of peach drinks but this was sort of ok. I mean, it was too peachy for me but if you like peach then I guess the balance of flavour is pretty good!

Reign Storm: Valencia Orange
September 28th, 2024Nice and fresh. The orange (I can’t vouch for the Valencian origin of those oranges) flavour is balanced well, not massively strong but not weak and watery either. Quite an interesting design for the can too, taking design hints from those other brands which are targeting the health market. You still have the large Reign logo, but you now have the silver background and actual pictures of fruit!
