Monster Energy Nitro Blue Flash
September 3rd, 2026I’ve seen this particular new flavour getting a lot of attention on social media in the UK in recent weeks so I had to grab a can as soon as I saw it to find out what all the fuss is about. It’s using carbonated and nitrogenated water as a base which supposedly gives it a “smooth, creamy texture”. I guess that’s true, the bubbles don’t feel as sharp as pure carbonated water so if you like that then you might like this! The flavour though, well, it’s just a blue raspberry energy drink. It’s nice enough, extremely sweet with no background ‘Monster’ taste which I guess is possibly masked by the very strong blue raspberry flavour of this drink.

August 15th, 2026I was curious as to what ‘Razz’ might taste like, but it’s clearly blue raspberry – it’s even in a blue can so I don’t know why I thought it would be something else. It’s nice, but it’s not that strong in flavour really, it’s a very mild blue raspberry drink on the tangy side rather than sweet.

Monster Energy Electric Blue
June 20th, 2026It’s blue raspberry! Well, what else would it be when it’s called “electric blue”!? This is a US import drink which I discovered in Budgens in Egham, UK and cost quite a bit as a consequence. I was a bit disappointed really – it’s a very sweet drink and doesn’t have the usual Monster taste that you’d usually expect. Just a basic blue raspberry drink on the tangy side. There are much better Monster flavours out there.

Boost Energy Blue Raspberry
March 14th, 2026Very sweet! It is unmistakably blue raspberry but it’s a highly sweet version although the blue raspberry flavouring is quite muted and masked by the sweetness. It’s not a standout drink at all, but for 75p, that’s not a bad price for a branded product really. There are better choices out there in my opinion.

Body Fuel Energy Shot: Blue Raspberry
December 20th, 2025I was expecting this to be pretty bitter but I was very surprised! It’s actually very sweet – ok, it’s an energy shot, it doesn’t taste great, but in the world of energy shots this one isn’t too bad. The blue raspberry flavouring is strong but there’s no nasty aftertaste or drawing back of your lips over your teeth in shock at the flavour. Honestly, I’d probably try this one again.

November 22nd, 2025A massively potent blue raspberry drink! The flavour is strong and the caffeine is strong so be cautious and limit yourself to no more than one can (of this and anything else!) in a day. It’s refreshing and sweet so great for a warm summer’s day.

Toxic Waste Baneful Blue Raspberry
February 8th, 2025Another energy drink discovered in a foreign port. Well, actually, this time I found it in a shop in Falmouth, UK, but it was a US import. You normally associate Toxic Waste branded products with being really sour, but this one really wasn’t that sour. Ok, there was the background flavour of Toxic Waste products that you’d expect but overall it was basically just a blue raspberry flavoured drink. Quite smooth and easy to drink, no back of the throat sourness that I was expecting at all sadly.

Bob Ross Positive Prussian Blue Raspberry
November 2nd, 2024I think we can all agree that this is what Bob Ross would have wanted, his own range of energy drinks. This is a US import and the Americans know how to make an energy drink. Lots of high fructose corn syrup and the most artificial of flavourings and colours possible! Blue raspberry at its synthetic finest.
