NOCCO Focus Ramonade
April 13th, 2024I had to look up what Ramonade might be. Turns out the Ram part is rambutan which is a type of tropical fruit, but the main flavour I could taste was apple. It’s basically an extremely caffeine-potent apple flavoured energy drink. I’m always nervous about trying a can of Nocco because I know I’m not going to sleep well that night! But, if you need an extremely strong pick-up then this’ll do the trick.

Kong Strong Colossus
April 6th, 2024It’s been so long since I tried Lidl’s Kong Strong so I honestly can’t tell if this large can ‘Colossus’ drink is actually the same as the the smaller can, I think I’ll have to go and get one of those to compare. Anyway, this drink reminds me of the early days of energy drink clones… it’s sweet, slightly tangy, and quite different to Red Bull. I’d say it’s quite close to Monster Energy actually, very, very close in flavour!

March 30th, 2024It’s a bedazzlingly gold can which sadly doesn’t give off the premium vibe that I think it was trying to go for. Rather, it looks more like the one-off budget brands you pick up in the pound stores which are trying to be shiny and bright to grab your attention. As drinks go, it’s not bad though – a very sweet tropical flavoured one that’s not too sickly even in this 500ml large can.
Bang: Candy Apple Crisp
March 23rd, 2024I’m still not that keen on apple-flavoured drinks. I guess this one isn’t too bad, but it is quite sickly after a while. It’s basically fizzy apple squash, I’m not sure what the ‘candy’ part is, perhaps that’s just marketing. On the other hand, it’s pretty potent for caffeine so it’ll definitely wake you up!

Bang: Rainbow Unicorn
March 16th, 2024The fragrant taste of the world’s finest juiced unicorns combined with a spectral blast of rainbows. Maybe. Well, there’s no actual clue on the can as to what flavour this drink really is so I’m going to have to make a guess. I think that it’s strawberry, but with a twist of vanilla. Raptor Orange Mango
February 10th, 2024Well, it’s not so much orange as mango, or tropical really. It’s a large can of tropical energy drink. Quite smooth and refreshing but other than the funky dinosaur can design there isn’t much that make this drink stand out.

Raptor Citrus
January 6th, 2024I love lemon energy drinks, and this one despite being generically named ‘citrus’ is pretty lemony. It’s refreshing and smooth, really nice. It has just the right balance of sweetness and sharpness and is low calorie too.

Rockstar Refresh Watermelon Kiwi
December 30th, 2023As drinks go, this is quite a smooth but generally bland energy drink. It’s refreshing and inoffensive but it just doesn’t stand out. The most unusual thing about the drink is the colouring of the can. The pink inside the Rockstar star actually looks like someone left the can out in the sun and bleached a red star to pink.
