Lucozade Zero Orange
September 10th, 2016Finally, a sugar-free Lucozade! Problem is, Lucozade isn’t known for having much caffeine in, so if you remove the sugar too then there’s neither fake nor real energy in this. It’s just fizzy orange. A nice fizzy orange, but that’s all. Zero kick. So far as energy drinks go, no energy is quite original.

Relentless Zero
May 28th, 2016Relentless energy drinks have had a bit of a design overhaul recently. Gone is the gothic-style line art graphics on the can, and in are loud and bold colours. With that rebranding has come the new Relentless Zero, which is effectively a renamed version of their awkwardly named Relentless Origin Ultra (maybe because it’s easier to understand a ‘zero’ drink will be low calories instead of the wholly non-descriptive ‘ultra’ moniker they used previously. The drink is the same as before so far as I can tell – slightly watery but no strange brewed taste.

Monster Energy Ultra
March 12th, 2016This is a strange one, it’s citrusy and smooth, yet quite sickly. But, it was low calorie so that’s a bonus. I did really enjoy it overall and would have it again if I ever see it. Definitely not like the usual Monster drinks.

LSV Zero
December 19th, 2015It’s just another sugar free energy drink clone jumping on the ‘zero’ bandwagon, sorry to say. Sitting at a decently cheap price amongst the budget brands, it’s not bad at all and certainly worth a try if you find a can.

Monster Rehab Peach Tea + Energy
November 28th, 2015This drink contains two flavours which disagree considerably with my taste buds, namely peach and tea. Fortunately the tea taste is not so prominent, but the peach is strong and sickly. It’s also a non-carbonated beverage which seems to add to the sickliness. I can’t recommend this.

Monster Ultra Citron
November 21st, 2015A complete winner. Zero calories and a fresh citrus taste. It’s not as harsh as lemon, and not too sweet. A very smooth and refreshing drink which packs a decent caffeine kick. Definitely one for sporty energy drink drinkers.

Monster Ultra Sunrise
November 7th, 2015Orange flavoured, I think. It’s a really light and fresh flavour, which is definitely in the citrus zone. It’s very much like a flavoured water which makes it refreshing and thirst quenching. With zero calories, it’s also less likely to damage your diet too. Probably the most unusual thing about this drink though is the textured can. While you are drinking it, the nobbly bobbly lumps all over the can give you quite a good grip on it and certainly assure you of a quality product.

LSV Zero Calories
July 25th, 2015Pretty boring and unimaginative. It doesn’t even have zero calories. To me, when something says “Zero calories” on it, call me fussy but I’d expect the calorie content to be zero. In this case it actually contains about 10 calories per can which is still the equivalent of 5 Tic-Tacs. It tastes like a generic sugar-free energy drink too.
