Ka Reload Black Cherry
August 8th, 2020It’s ok I suppose! Basically, it’s a cherry Lucozade rip-off. To be fair, it’s not far off in flavour, it’s just missing that typical Lucozadeness (??) that I’d describe as the almost trademark way it feels when it fizzes in your mouth. It think Lucozade must have patented a special bubble shape or something for that because no other fizzy drink feels the same. Back to Ka Reload… yeah, it’s drinkable but not very refreshing or caffeinated.

August 1st, 2020I guess it’s like the Ford of sports drinks world??? Geddit? No? Oh well. It’s fake tropical Lucozade. Not much in the way of caffeine but also not as packed full of sugar.
Oshee Vitamin Water
July 4th, 2020Three ingredients… just three. It needed a lot more! Still water with just caffeine and vitamins in sounds like it should be perfectly refreshing, however in reality it tastes like plastic. Not the sort of taste you get if you leave water in a plastic bottle, but the actual taste of liquid plastic. Really not pleasant at all and I could only drink a very small amount, it was bad tasting to the extreme!

Radnor Energy: Lemon and Lime
June 27th, 2020Amazing! So refreshing and with a decent hit of caffeine (even if they do call it Coffeine – Caffeine anhydrous from coffee bean. It’s lightly carbonated and fresh and fruity.
Radnor Energy: Cranberry and Raspberry
June 20th, 2020I’m not a fan of cranberry usually, I find it quite bitter. But, this cranberry and raspberry drink is very moreish. It’s lightly carbonated fruity water with a splattering of caffeine. Actually, it’s not caffeine, it’s Coffeine (Caffeine anhydrous from coffee bean) – with a big trademark symbol after it. This is certainly an interesting take on fancy bottled water, but if you want the best flavour then go for the Lemon and Lime one.

Kicker
December 1st, 2018This drink has two things going for it: quantity and price. I could only find it in litre bottles, and for the bargain price of 89p. It’s a definite clone, but quite mild and watered down in flavour. I didn’t get much of a kick from kicker, but it did the job I suppose!
Monster Hydro Manic Melon
October 7th, 2017Not a fan of this one sorry Monster. It tastes to me like a really weak melon squash. I mean seriously weak and watery. Perhaps the weather needed to be warmer to enjoy it, but all I could think about was, this needs more pre-mix in it! Probably would be nicer if the flavour was stronger.

July 1st, 2017This drink has a real premium feel to it. It’s presented in a tall metal canister-style bottle, almost like a thermal flask. Flavour-wise there’s nothing I can think of to compare it to. It’s lightly carbonated and very smooth and sweet, yet not really flavoured at all. It’s slightly more caffeinated than Red Bull, but other than that it’s near identical in its statistics. There’s also a sugar free version available but due to airline luggage weight restrictions I had to be more selective in which drinks I sampled whilst in the US!

Mutant Super Soda
June 24th, 2017Mutant is made by Monster (as you can tell by the give-away M logo on the bottle. It appears to be a rival to Mountain Dew, and taste-wise it has a nice smooth and refreshing fruity tang to it in a very similar way. However it’s much stronger in terms of caffeine!
