OMG!
March 19th, 2016I’m loathed to call this drink a ‘clone’ because although it is completely recognisable as an energy drink style of flavour, it’s not like your normal clones. It’s quite nice, not too bitter or sour, and very drinkable. I enjoyed it a lot, mainly because it wasn’t what I had expected. And did I mention it promises Supernatural Performance? Doesn’t specify what in though.

Monster Energy Ultra
March 12th, 2016This is a strange one, it’s citrusy and smooth, yet quite sickly. But, it was low calorie so that’s a bonus. I did really enjoy it overall and would have it again if I ever see it. Definitely not like the usual Monster drinks.

E-ON – Citrus Punch
March 5th, 2016I expected a lemon flavour, but it’s actually a tropical drink. High in caffeine and calorie content, it was disappointing.
E-ON – Apricot Rush
February 27th, 2016There is a slight taste of apricot in this drink, but to be honest the most overwhelming flavour I detected was almond. It was like drinking marzipan! A bit of Googling turned up that apricot kernels and almonds are similar in taste, so that is probably what’s been used to make this drink. It’s very different, but probably not for everyone!

Rockstar Freeze – Frozen Lime
February 6th, 2016A really nice and smooth lime flavoured drink. I’m a big fan of lemon and lime energy drinks, and this one doesn’t disappoint. I can’t detect the ‘cooling’ effect that you are supposed to experience, which is where the ‘frozen’ aspect of the drink branding comes in, but it’s nice regardless.

Gumball 3000 +Battery
January 23rd, 2016I have a feeling that this is a limited edition drink for promotional purposes – the can is advertising a Gumball 3000 competition to win concert tickets, gadgets and rally tickets, and the promotion ended many months before I managed to get hold of this can. The drink itself is a regular clone, quite watery and bland but refreshing. The gold-on-black can design is quite neat though, and a 330ml can size meant that I didn’t immediately recognise it as an energy drink on the shelf.
Go & Fun
January 16th, 2016I discovered this at a service station somewhere between the port of Civetiveccia and Rome. It’s a sharp tasting fruity drink, with a typical ‘healthy’ taste but I’m not saying this is healthy by any means though. It’s nice and refreshing, but probably won’t be my first choice if I see it again.
