Better than the cranberry version, but not as good as the lemongrass. It really just tasted like orange Lucozade and not that special at all. I had high hopes for the new range of Lucozades, but to be honest there’s only the one of them which stands out. Go for the lemongrass flavour instead as it’s refreshing and different – if you want an orange Lucozade, get the original orange flavour instead

I’m still not convinced on the use of tea as a suitable ingredient in energy drinks. Luckily, the orangeade flavour of this one mostly masks the tea flavour. It’s still there, brewing (see what I did there) at the back somewhere, but the orange-ness is a welcome overtone. Personally though, if you want an orange flavoured energy Monster, get Monster Khaos.

Bleurgh, another tropical drink. As expected, it’s sharp and sickly. Sorry Rockstar, I don’t like it.
Pretty good actually! As opposed to the Tropical Orange flavour of the canned Rockstar Xdurance, this bottle is a normal orange flavour, much like Lucozade Energy Orange. Refreshing and sweet. I’d prefer it in a can to be honest because I find drinks keep cooler for longer like that, but otherwise it’s more convenient as a 500ml option as you can seal it up and save some for later.

Cheap tasting and probably not worth the effort. It doesn’t quite achieve the optimum sweetness/sharpness ratio and leans on the sharp side making the drink a little unpleasant to consume – it doesn’t taste awful, but it could have been a lot better.
Another nasty tasting bitter orange energy shot! It works well because I was at maximum alertness for a good few hours, but I also couldn’t get rid of the taste during that time either.

Don’t believe the can… orange indeed. There’s probably some orange in there somewhere but it tastes much more like passionfruit than orange. There’s quite a sharp tropical fruit taste that comes through and it wasn’t as nice as I’d hoped… which is especially annoying given that I was expecting it to be orange! It has a decent kick though given it is full of sugar and caffeine, and it’s not a clone – but I do think it’s false advertising!
It’s just fizzy orange squash really. A nice drink which is low in caffeine. This is Aldi’s own-brand equivalent of Lucozade Energy Orange and compared to that drink it’s much stronger in flavour. It’s also very good value by comparison too and much better tasting than the more expensive Powerade Energy Orange. Not much of a wake-up factor to it though…
Imagine a Vitamin C tablet, one of those chewable ones that you only eat when you have a cold. That’s the type of orange flavour that this drink has. It’s considerably stronger in flavour and caffeine than its rival, Lucozade, and personally I don’t think it tastes as good, but it does of course wake you up much more!
