Asda Blue Charge Diet Mango and Cardamom
July 18th, 2015No no no no no. It doesn’t work! It tastes like a nasty fruit tea. You get a cheap tasting tropical fruit flavour mixed with a brewed bitterness which I assume is from the cardamom. I had been hoping for a nice perfumed fragrance drink along the lines of what you get when you munch on the seeds from a cardamom pod, but I was disappointed.

Relentless Mango Ultra
July 4th, 2015Wow, a big can of fruity juiceness. Relentless have managed to get the balance just right – it’s slightly tropical in taste, but neither artificial or sharp. It’s very fruity so gets a little sickly towards the end of the can, but nowhere near as bad as other similar flavours.

KX Cola Zero
March 21st, 2015Not bad actually! Given the pretty bad taste of regular KX, their colas are alright. Okay, so it still tastes like a cheap cola, but it is packed full of caffeine and is low calorie too. Overall, not a bad choice for cola lovers.

Emerge Zero Sugar
January 17th, 2015I’m not sure if this is just the new name for Emerge Light or not, but it doesn’t taste like a usual clone. It’s sweet and tastes of non-descript synthetic fruits. It’s quite nice but cheap, although it does the job.

January 10th, 2015A nice budget sugar free energy drink. Absolutely nothing special about it, but it was cheap, tasted okay, and does the job of satisfying those energy cravings. Not as sweet as the full fat version, but just right overall.

Monster Ultra Red
November 15th, 2014This was brought back from the USA by a friend especially for me, so I feel privileged! It’s completely calorie free, yet you couldn’t tell that from the taste. It’s part of a triple Ultra series of Monster Energy drinks which include a White and Blue edition too. This Red edition tastes like a mixture of strawberries and raspberries and is really rather refreshing. It’s certainly worth a go if you can find a can.
