Monster HydroSport Superfuel Hang Time
September 19th, 2020It’s a refreshing and still sports drink of an unknown flavour! Some sort of fruit but I genuinely couldn’t tell you what it is. It might be a very watered down version of the Monster Zero (blue label) drink, but it really is tricky to identify it. It’s nice anyway, so give it a go. Being non-carbonated, it’s very easy to drink.

NOCCO Tropical
August 29th, 2020Now here’s the tropical NOCCO – but don’t get this one, get the pineapple one I reviewed last week. This one is a bit sharp and synthetic tasting, quite difficult to get through the whole can really.

NOCCO Caribbean

I had expected to taste coconut in this one (I don’t know why, I know that there’s giant pineapples all over the can) but it is definitely just a mild and sweet pineapple drink. High in caffeine, it’ll keep you going all day – and being pineapple it’s certainly different to most other drinks you’ll find.

NOCCO Red Berries
August 15th, 2020I first discovered NOCCO at a 7Eleven whilst on holiday in Sweden. Being Sweden, it was a very expensive purchase. Then, a few days later I found myself in Norway and discovered NOCCO was even more expensive there! Anyway… I saw NOCCO being sold in Morrisons in the UK and it was considerably cheaper. This red berries flavour was quite bitter, but not as unpleasant as I had expected. After a few sips I had accustomed myself to the bitterness and started to enjoy it. An interesting line of drinks if you can find them. Oh yes, and they have a lot of caffeine in them.

Grenade Energy
July 25th, 2020New energy drinks are a rare discovery at the moment, but gym-bunny nutrition brand Grenade have been pushing out new products left, right and centre. One of those is fortunately for me an energy drink. There’s no description on the can to describe what the flavour might be, but my taste buds are telling me that this is a grape soda drink. It’s low(ish) in calories, and contains the on-trend BCAA protein mix you’d expect from this brand too. It tasted pretty good and gave me the required (quite high!) caffeine kick that I craved.

Oshee Vitamin Water
July 4th, 2020Three ingredients… just three. It needed a lot more! Still water with just caffeine and vitamins in sounds like it should be perfectly refreshing, however in reality it tastes like plastic. Not the sort of taste you get if you leave water in a plastic bottle, but the actual taste of liquid plastic. Really not pleasant at all and I could only drink a very small amount, it was bad tasting to the extreme!

Warrior Sugar Free
June 13th, 2020Quite a different taste to the full-fat Warrior, and usually I prefer the sugar free variant. This time however the original flavour is so much better. This sugar free version is slightly more bitter and has a dark caramel aftertaste. Given that the original version is actually quite low on calories itself anyway, I’d suggest choosing that much tastier version over this.

Reign: Razzle Berry
May 30th, 2020Amazing! It’s like a raspberry ice pop but low calorie. The flavour is slightly muted, which is initially disappointing but by the time you get to the end of the can you’re grateful for. It prevents it from being too sickly and actually makes it quite refreshing.

Reign: Sour Apple
May 23rd, 2020This is the third variety of Reign that I have discovered so far. Sour Apple is refreshing and not very sour at all. It’s fruity and gets the balance just right, without being sickly at all even after drinking a whole large can of it.
