This is branded as ‘Summer Edition’, but being in a blue can instead of the white summer edition can seen in the UK and US, I thought I’d better try it to make sure that it’s different. The white summer edition is coconut-lime, and I’m sure that this blue summer edition is also coconut-lime, but somehow tasting different. It’s less coconutty (???) and much fruitier, slightly berry-like too perhaps? Maybe it is exactly the same and I was just in a much better mood when I drank it, but as I have no side-by-side comparison to scientifically test that then my opinion will have to do – I like this blue can better than the white one!
Mmmm, really good. Nice, fruity, and refreshing. It’s also dangerously highly caffeinated (at almost double the dose of Red Bull) in combination with being really easy to drink so be careful! Fortunately, it is very low in calories by way of compensation.

A nice little lemon-lime energy drink. The selling point of this one is its use of natural fruit juice instead of artificial flavourings. I think it really makes a different because it’s fruity and refreshing… it’s just a shame that fruit juice isn’t low calorie!
Normally Mojito flavoured drinks fill me with dread. They tend to be sickly and downright weird! That lime and mint combo just does nothing for me. But, this one was surprisingly ok. Only ok mind, especially given the high cost of this drink. It’s aimed at the gym going population with added BCAAs to help with that all important protein absorption, and is of course low in calories.

A very nice lemon and lime flavoured energy drink. Quite often with the lemon/lime flavours, they taste like someone has used way too much cordial. But, this one is balanced just right. This is the first ESTAR drink I’ve discovered and looking at their web site they seem to have many flavour varieties. If I come across any others I’ll be sure to grab and review them quickly.

A really nice and smooth lime flavoured drink. I’m a big fan of lemon and lime energy drinks, and this one doesn’t disappoint. I can’t detect the ‘cooling’ effect that you are supposed to experience, which is where the ‘frozen’ aspect of the drink branding comes in, but it’s nice regardless.

Peach and Lime should never be combined. Ever. It just doesn’t work, and what you end up with is some sort of drink that doesn’t know if it’s supposed to be sharp, sour, sweet, or bitter. It’s the taste equivalent of mixing all of your paints together to get brown.

I had high hopes for this, but it turns out that strawberry and lime do NOT go together that well – in this instance at least. It was like a badly mixed cocktail.

It tastes nice, but it’s basically diabetes in a can. According to the web site it “delivers higher levels of energy than current market leaders.” which is technically correct – it packs a whopping 62 kcal per 100ml which at least rivals Lucozade, but delivering it in a 250ml can and comparing it to other similar products it really does pack a lot more energy in the form of sugar I’m guessing from looking at the carb content.
