Despite the awesome can graphics, this really was just a cheap tasting fizzy apple drink. It was quite sweet tasting and left a tangy aftertaste… I couldn’t recommend it.
This is a pretty sweet and refreshing apple drink, not very sour but quite fizzy in both carbonation and flavour. Overall, it’s still a cheap tasting own-brand energy drink packed full of sugar.
I don’t like apple flavoured anything. Usually… but this drink surprised me. I had planned to just try and bit and tip the rest away because I was so unlikely to want to finish it. Well, all finished! A nice fresh, sweet favour, and low in calories too! It also has BCAAs for the body builders out there (??? why are you drinking energy drinks!?).

Carabao are really pushing their brand at the moment, with posters everywhere and even TV adverts. It’s a bit disappointing though that their main ‘special’ flavours are pretty much following those of the cheaper brands, i.e. apple and orange. I’m expecting them to release a berries one too at this rate. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice drink if you like apple drinks – it’s not overpowering and they’ve got the balance right, but it just feels like something I picked up from a discount shop and not the premium £1 can it is.

Again in the Moose Juice range, I’m really not seeing the point. They’re aimed at gym goers with their added BCAAs and low calorie content, but being in a large can they’re not easily sippable – you have to drink the whole thing in one sitting unless you go to the hassle of decanting to a bottle. They’re also expensive compare to rival energy drinks, and contain ingredients (the BCAAs I mentioned) that you’re likely to have put in your post gym protein shake anyway. It tastes good and has a nice caffeine hit, but overall it’s difficult to see where it fits in a routine.

Considering this says it’s a product of Thailand, I’m disappointed. Usually Thai energy drinks are something special, something unusual, but this drink was strange and odd tasting. It is sickly and very sweet with an odd aftertaste.

I’ve never tried a kiwi flavoured drink before, and Red Bull have managed this really well. It’s sweet, fruity, but subtle and easy to drink. There’s no nasty aftertaste, and you still get the Red Bull kick you expect.
It’s okay, but it’s a budget apple flavoured drink. It’s not sour by any definition of the word, but it is quite sickly and sweet. Basically, it’s fizzy apple squash.
Yeah, it’s not sour! Come on beverage makers, make a properly actually really really sour drink and THEN you can call it sour! It’s apple, it’s caffeinated, that’s all.
